Actually, uzbl do not verify ssl certificate.
Please add check on https (using CA but also user interraction on self-sign certificate)

This feature is important for privacy and to avoid MITM attack again uzbl users.

Additional comments about closing:  This has been merged for the longest time. We'll even have TLS-error messages too for more specific information in the future (See #304).

It is implemented in branch ssl (see "[uzbl-dev] Pull request: SSL certificates verification" thread on mailing list). Please test. Any comments are welcome.

After a horrible delay (that I apologise profusely for), this has been merged and pushed to the master branch. I'll do a release ASAP.
